Allergies are a complex and somewhat mysterious phenomenon. They come in a vast array of types and specific allergies, and in widely varying symptoms and degrees of intensity, differing greatly between specific individuals.
The research into allergy symptom relief, cures and preventions is a relatively new science in health care, and the subject of a lot of conflicting evidence and research.
Further, the politics of the healthcare industry, and the politics of human nature and belief, complicate the issue greatly -- compounding the problem with non-scientific pressures on the issue.
The following articles (listed below my signature) are my AMATEUR effort to gather useful information, for review and consideration by allergy sufferers, their families, and healthcare professionals. Under no circumstances should ANYONE assume that these articles are 100% correct (even if written by doctors), nor that they are applicable to every person, in every situation. They are not.
ANY effort to improve one's health -- if suffering from serious allergy-related conditions -- should be done under the care and supervision of a responsible, directly accountable, appropriately trained and certified healthcare professional (and in the opinion of this amateur health information reporter, a medical doctor ("M.D.") would be most relevant and appropriate).
If you do not get cost-effective improvements in working with that person, consider another appropriate professional -- but do not initiate experimental action without expert, licensed, professional guidance.
If allergies are a serious issue for you,
DO NOT ATTEMPT YOUR OWN ALLERGY MEDICAL TREATMENT OR THERAPY -- UNLESS SPECIFICALLY INSTRUCTED TO DO SO BY AN APPROPRIATE, LICENSED, QUALIFIED HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONAL. AND DO IT THEIR WAY.
Your life is nothing to play amateur games with.
Good luck, and may the continuing efforts of conscientious people help you find the relief you need.
