Agriculture in Kansas

As a Kansan, I'm sensitive to the needs of the farmer...
blah...blah...blah.... Breadbasket of the World...
blah...blah...blah.... open new markets abroad...
blah...blah...blah.... protect the farmer from foreign competition...
blah...blah...blah.... Freedom to Farm...
blah...blah...blah.... farm price supports...
blah...blah...blah.... lower taxes...
blah...blah...blah.... more rain...
blah...blah...blah.... less mud...
blah...blah...blah.... better tractors...
blah...blah...blah.... more cows...
blah...blah...blah.... more bull...
blah...blah...blah....

NEW INCOME for FARMERS:

Farm resources can be energy resources. I'll ensure Congressional support to make it even easier, these 3 ways:
  • Cashing in your bull chips. Kansas -- as the EPA has been complaining for years -- is one of the leading producers of bullcrap. Isn't it time we took some of our best work to Washington, where it will be appreciated?
And what's more, they tell us there's a new kind of fuel we can make out of that old kind of fertilizer. It's almost poetic to discover that what makes Bossie go will make your Buick go, too!
Cashing in your bull chips? Why not? After all, Congressmen long before me have been making hay out of that stuff, and generating a lot of hot air with it!
  • And what about that wind, farmers? How about WIND FARMS? It ain't all hot air. Yessiree, the future of the farmer is in harvesting the wind (which is where Western Kansas will soon be, as it dries up and blows away).
Yes, Kansas farmers, if I'm elected, your children will be inheriting the wind, and will reap the whirlwind!
  • And of course there's ethanol. That great stuff you get from corn. Why waste it on feeding the world, when we use it to feed our own pickups and SUVs?
The average Congressman is fueled by it, so why not the rest of the country? Yessir, when I'm elected to Congress, I'll do more with ethanol than any Congressman before me. Count on it.
