Economy, Energy & Environment
Where are we now?
Where can we go?
The economy is bankrupt, energy costs are exploding, and the environment is getting icky.
I believe there is a BETTER Way.

Work that Rewards Americans
The American worker today is too seldom paid fair wages for their work. I say we print more money, and let everyone trade in their one-dollar bills for two-dollar bills.
Of course, that may cause a slight inflation problem. Not to worry. We'll just outlaw the two-dollar bills.
Of course, then everyone will be broke, and so desperate they'll work for pennies. That's good. Employers will start hiring dirt-cheap American labor (to replace sorta-cheap foreign labor), and we'll all be back to work, and on our way to getting rich again.
Border Security and Immigration:
Illegal immigration is producing a lot of undocumented workers, taking American jobs. Thats good, and bad, for several reasons:
-
Undocumented workers don't get government documents, leaving government document-makers with too little to do. This is bad. And Undocumented workers don't get government benefits -- so, again, they don't keep government workers busy. Idle government workers do devils work.
-
Illegal immigration is bad manners. You're supposed to knock on the door, and wait to be invited in. Illegal immigrants set a bad example for other Americans, who will begin kicking their neighbors door in anytime they feel like it and just coming on in and watching your TV without asking, and changing the channel just when you're in the middle of the Superbowl. And they'll make you watch soccer or something else foreign instead of the Superbowl. And that's just not right. And they might use your bathroom, too, without even asking!
-
People who speak Spanish make me nervous. I know they're talking about me, especially when they're laughing. But I can't be sure whether they're laughing AT me, or laughing WITH me... except I'M never laughing... HMMMmmmmm....
-
At least I can always get fairly authentic Mexican food around here. Cheap. So it's not all bad.
Economy, Energy & Environment -- TOGETHER!
Kansas is uniquely positioned to lead in Alternate Energy. Unlike dense urban centers on the coasts, Kansas -- and particularly south-central Kansas -- has a wealth of clean-energy resources:
- Oil and natural gas underground -- quite clean, since we're just about clean out of it.
- Cropland capable of producing ethanol fuel, millions of gallons of it, continuously, forever. (But save some for my hillbilly cousin's still, will ya?).
- Farms generating tons of plant and animal by-products ("biomass"), capable of being turned into fuels. In Congress, they call this stuff "Congressional Resolutions." I have more skill in slinging this stuff than my opponent, so send me to Congress, where I'll make sure Kansas can cash in its chips!
- Dirty nuclear and coal-fired electrical plants, which we can replace with compact home nuclear reactors (with a little research). Heck, if we do it right, your home can glow without ever turning on a light!
- Wind -- the legendary, unstoppable Kansas force -- capable of powering huge cities. Congress is the natural place for wind to be turned into money. The blow-hards there have been doing it for years. I'll take Kansas wind to Congress, and make sure they get so much of it that they're willing give us whatever we want.
It's time we brought these powerful resources together, backed by federal funding -- and make Kansas the future Energy Capital of the World. Clean, powerful jobs (with oil, gas, bullchips, nuclear radiation, and all our blowing coal dust turning your windmills). That's the future I see for all of us in South-Central Kansas -- when I can see South-Central Kansas through the haze...

Economy, Energy & Environment are challenges we must all ignore together. Let's let Nature take its course, by pumping the air full of whatever we can burn, in whatever machinery we can manufacture, so we all stay rich -- right up until we choke to death. We're all gonna die, and the planet's toast. Let's just get it over with, and enjoy the end!
